A Holter Monitor is a small, portable device that continuously records your heart’s electrical activity (ECG) for 24 to 48 hours or longer while you go about your daily activities.

Why is a Holter Test Done?

• Detect irregular heartbeats that may not show up during a standard ECG.

How it Works

Small electrodes are attached to your chest, connected to the monitor. You wear it under your clothes and keep a diary of activities or symptoms to help the doctor interpret the results accurately.
